Helen Hartness Flanders Collection at Middlebury College, Middlebury.Vermont contains over four thousand field recordings collected in Vermont and the rest of New England between 1930 and 1958. The Milton S. Eisenhower Library at Johns Hopkins University contains an index to songs, tunes and performers appearing on folk music recordings issued during the past forty years. Covers more than 2300 recordings with some 24,600 distinct titles, pointing to more than 48,000 entries. Includes cross references to both alternate and related titles and melodies.
